Graduate Program in Materiel Engineering

Welcome

Welcome to the website of the School of Engineering and Technology’s Masters of Engineering in Materiel Engineering.  This program is the result of the need to provide opportunities for advanced work in the various engineering disciplines within the School and graduate education for employees who support and work for governmental entities and their supporting contractors in the Northern Alabama area.  “Materiel” is defined as the equipment, apparatus, and supplies used by an organization.  Materiel Engineering involves the design, production, test and evaluation, distribution, operation and support, and ultimate disposition of man-made equipment, apparatus, and supplies, and, as such, is highly interdisciplinary.

The University is nestled in the Huntsville, Alabama, historically known as “Rocket City” from its earlier history in the development of the defense and space industries.  Home to Marshall Space flight Center and Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville is a dynamic and growing city of about 370,000 residents.

This website is designed to provide information for those who may be interested in knowing about the program, individuals interested in evaluating the program as an optional place to obtain a graduate diploma, or a student already enrolled in the program and needing additional information to complete degree requirements.
