ABCs of Starting Your Own Business

Wednesday, April 2, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

The Women's Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) is offering a workshop. Learn about being an entrepreneur and what it takes to start your own business. We'll cover getting started, type of business, legal structure, business planning, financing, business licenses, marketing, and much more. You'll also receive valuable tips on how to be successful.

 

The WBCNA is located in the Crestwood Women's Center at 185 Chateau Drive (off Airport Road in Huntsville). The cost to attend is $25.00 (pay at the door - cash or check payable to WBCNA).  Make reservations online at www.wbcna.org or by calling 256-213-2727. This course is conducted in cooperation with the Alabama A&M University SBDC and presented by Cassandra Zeigler, Assistant Director of the AAMU SBDC.

 

Federal Contracting-How your business size offers opportunity

The course is the first in our five Federal Contracting Series, and is presented by Gary Heard the SBA PCR on Redstone Arsenal and Susan Baxter Business Development Specialist from the SBA's Birmingham office.  In this course the role of an SBA PCR is defined by Mr. Heard.  Ms. Baxter educates the small business community on the various federally funded small and disadvantaged worker programs.
