FROM THE FOUNDER
Our world is an increasingly complex place. Higher education is replete with a myriad of challenges, from the impact of global competition, spiraling costs (education, health care, fuel, etc), the demand for innovative revenue streams, to the need to shore up public confidence in higher education in order to ensure a skilled and engaged citizenry.
Thus, the Alabama A&M University Corporate and Educational Round Table (CERT) attracts experts engaged in finding meaning, contributions, and answers to some of the globe’s most pressing issues.Through presentation at CERT, these brilliant minds decidedly advance knowledge, theory, and practice. The individuals invited to take part in this landmark inaugural Round Table will become a part of history.

Dr. Robert R. Jennings
Alabama A&M University is noted for attracting some of the world's most recognizd leaders and for producing some of its most promising proteges. In 2007, the University will invite its tenth consecutive Nobel Laureate to lecture on the campus.

Moreover, AAMU's Marching Maroon and White band participated in the 2006 Tournament of Roses Parade, students have attended choral music festivals in Germany, spearheaded state and national student organizations, and propelled the University into one of the Top 30 national universities as noted by the Washington Monthly.
The Corporate and Educational Round Table (CERT)—and the important proceedings generated as a result of it—will greatly contribute to the body of knowledge available to address problems such as ethical leadership, global preparedness, operationalizing institutional diversity, and university / industry partnerships. In the upcoming years, it is anticipated that CERT will become a significant channel for the advancement of intellectual discourse.
The complexity of the world aside, Alabama A&M University takes seriously its noble mission of teaching, research, and service. The employees work tirelessly to live up to that legacy as it molds itself to meet societal and global concerns.
