Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

GRE is a standardized test that graduate schools use to evaluate their candidates. This review course will cover verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing sections.

Course Length: 20 hrs.

Tuition: $200.00

 

Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW)

Licensing Examination Preparation

 

The focus of the course is not only to review the content that will be address in the licensing exam but more importantly, to learn specific test-taking strategies that will help to pass the licensing exam.  Strategies will include those designed to reduce test-taking anxiety. The course is taught by a licensed social worker with experience in preparing students for the exam. Topics will include:

 

Direct and Indirect Practice

Human Behavior and the Social Environment

Professional Values and Ethic

Assessment, Diagnosis & Treatment Planning

Service Delivery

Supervision, Administration & Policy

 

Course Length: 16 hrs.

Improving Test-Taking Skills on the LSAT, GMAT, GRE, ACT & SAT

 

This course combined with initiative and practice by the student, aims to increase the students’ chances of performing well on the standardized testes used by most professional institutions of higher learning in their admission and financial support decisions. Mastery of the tools taught by this course, and the students’ diligent practice in application of these tools, are necessary ingredients for most student seeking to secure potentially rewarding educational opportunities.

 

  1. Informal Logical and Informal Fallacies and test applications.
  2. Categorical Logic: What are they Really Saying? Application to test questions
  3. Formal Logic: the key to certainty in logical games.
  4. Timed test strategies and practice, tips on logical writing: tips on additional practice and specific vocabulary study necessary for performing well on the test.
