Oracle Certification Program (OCP) Database

This course will prepare the student for the OCP exam through an in-depth review of the features that are new to Oracle. Students attending this course should have basic knowledge of Oracle. Instructor will focus on the test topics to assist the student to prepare for the OCP exams.

OCP candidates have proven skills for managing a large scale database or developing robust applications that are deployed enterprise-wide. Oracle requires that the student has unprecedented depth of knowledge in oracle database administration. These classes will be a combination of theory and hands on.  The following topics will be covered:

To earn the OCP Certification, the student must purchase and successfully pass five OCP exams:

• SQL and PL/SQL
• Database Administration
• Backup and Recovery
• Performance Tuning
• Network Administration

Prerequisites: Basic computer knowledge, preferably a person who has taken courses in computer science.
